Event Details

What is Intellectual Property (IP)? Does my research generate IP, and how can I protect and commercialize these technologies? Join us as we focus on the types of IP that may be generated in the course of research, and the steps that can be taken to protect and commercialize them, drawing examples from technologies utilizing, modifying, and mitigating biofilms and the microbial community.

This event serves to encourage translational research relating to biofilms and microbiomes, giving researchers an overview of the methods available in protecting and licensing the IP they have generated in the course of their work. Additionally, it provides an avenue for budding entrepreneurs and start-ups interested in this technology space to interact with and network with the technical experts in this field.
