This workshop will focus on the recent advances in building and studying microbial communities and discuss how this knowledge can be translated into real world applications.
Microbial communities are complex assemblage of microorganisms where each member species play a crucial role in the function and resilience of the community. The knowledge and principles of how natural microbial communities work can be applied to many applications such as improving gut and skin health, promoting plant growth through better soil microbes, in aquaculture, carbon capture, circular economy and even designing bioremediation strategies for cleaning up polluted environments.
